DESTINY LIES IN A SINGLE SLIPPER AT THE KING'S THEATRE GLASGOW

Issued : 15 July 2008

Destiny lies in a single slipper…
CINDERELLA

King’s Theatre Glasgow
28 November 2008 - 11 January 2009

Following on from last year’s hugely successful and critically acclaimed Sleeping Beauty, the King’s Theatre Glasgow is delighted to announce another spectacular pantomime with a fantastic line up of family favourites.

Poor Cinderella has been locked away by her Wicked Stepmother while her Ugly Sisters get ready for the biggest ball in town. With her father, Baron Hardup, brainwashed by his evil wife, Cinderella must turn to her best friend Buttons to help her win the heart of the gorgeous Prince Charming. With a little bit of help from the Prince’s right hand man, Dandini, and a sprinkling of magic from the Fairy Godmother, will Cinderella win the race against time before the man of her dreams puts the wrong foot forward and declares his love to someone else?

You’ll have to wait until the clock strikes midnight to find out!

This treasured tale of rags-to-riches features King’s favourite Gerard as the lovable Buttons, Karen Dunbar takes flight as the Fairy Godmother, Andy Gray is Baron Hardup and Gavin Mitchell and Stephen McNicoll as the Ugly Sisters. (Please Note - Further casting to be announced).

With writer Bob Black, director Tony Cownie, Elaine C Smith as Associate Producer and musical director Irvin Duguid, CINDERELLA has all the elements to make this one of the most wonderful and magical pantomimes Glasgow audiences have ever seen.
