CURTAIN UP ON NEW MARKETING TEAM AT THEATRE ROYAL BRIGHTON

Issued : 10 June 2002

The Theatre Royal, Brighton has appointed three key personnel to the marketing team – Marketing Manager Tracey Shaw, Marketing Officer Holly Steddon and Press Officer Tim Sitwell.

Tracey, who started this month, has a proven track record in theatre administration and marketing having previously been Marketing Manager at three major southern venues: Eastbourne Theatres, Chichester Festival Theatre, and the Nuffield Theatre at Southampton. Her very first job was in the Brighton Festival Press Office.

She is joined by Tim Sitwell, previously press officer at Eastbourne Theatres, and Holly Steddon, who has come from the marketing department at Worthing Theatres.

Tracey said “It’s great to be back in Brighton, where I started my career in the arts, and an especial pleasure to be working at this beautiful and historic theatre, one of the premier venues in the south east. My colleagues and I are full of enthusiasm for the task ahead - we have a great autumn season to promote, and we look forward not only to telling our existing audiences about what the Theatre Royal has to offer but also encouraging many new people to visit the shows.”

The Theatre Royal became part of the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) in June 1999. ATG is the second largest theatre operating company in the West End, and separately, in the regions.
