YOU’LL HAVE A BALL IN STOKE THIS CHRISTMAS WITH JONATHAN WILKES!
Issued : 7 June 2007
Regent Theatre Announces Cinderella Cast and a Jonathan Wilkes Hat Trick!
You’ll have a Ball at The Regent Theatre this Christmas as we present our sparkling new pantomime, Cinderella!
Following two record-breaking years with Mother Goose and Aladdin, we are thrilled to announce that Jonathan Wilkes will be returning to The Regent to star in Cinderella as lovable rogue, Buttons! This year Jonathan is joined by Coronation Street and dinnerladies star, Shobna Gulati, who will be bringing her own touch of sparkle to the proceedings as The Fairy Godmother.
Jonathan’s Guys and Dolls Tour co-star Louise Dearman will be hoping her pumpkin is transformed into a glittering carriage to get her to the theatre in time to play the role of Cinderella, and Signal 1’s Breakfast Show presenter, Andy Goulding returns as Baron Hardup. This is Andy’s sixth panto at The Regent.
Once again, the script will be penned by hilarious former Coronation Street actor and Regent Theatre panto star, Eric Potts.
Cinderella will be packed with all the essential traditional pantomime ingredients: dazzling sets and costumes, slapstick comedy, sensational songs, spellbinding dance routines, loads of audience participation and a great big helping of magic and stardust!
Bookings are already at an all-time record high, so act quickly to guarantee the best tickets to the Ball. Christmas wouldn’t be the same without it!
Cinderella is produced by First Family Entertainment, a pioneering and exciting partnership between Live Nation and Ambassador Theatre Group, which will ensure that our pantos offer the very best in traditional, professional, top quality family entertainment.
Currently in its third year, the company is producing 10 high quality pantomimes for the 2007/2008 Christmas season.
