GERARD KELLY, KAREN DUNBAR AND DAWN STEELE IN THE PANTO OF YOUR DREAMS! SLEEPING BEAUTY AT THE KING’S THEATRE GLASGOW

Wakey, Wakey! It’s Panto time at the King’s Theatre Glasgow! Oh yes it is! Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without it! The King’s and First Family Entertainment are delighted to announce this year’s Christmas spectacular, Sleeping Beauty, which runs at the King’s Theatre Glasgow from Friday 30 November 07 to Saturday 12 January 08.

He’s back! Gerard Kelly makes a welcome return to the King’s panto as cheeky Chester the Jester, with a heart full of magic and a head full of mince. Joining Gerard this year, in her first ever panto appearance, is Scotland’s comedy favourite Karen Dunbar, as the hilarious and lovable Nanny Begood. The highly acclaimed and versatile Scottish actress Dawn Steele (Monarch of the Glen, Sea of Souls) returns to the King’s stage for her first King’s panto as the wicked witch Carrion. As panto baddie, she’s sure to have you booing and hissing at her deliciously evil antics! There will be side-splitting surprises galore at the King’s this Christmas when these three panto stars get together!

Following on from last year’s smash-hit success Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty is a romantic, thrill-filled, laugh-a-minute extravaganza that combines a truly gripping story with terrific music and some spectacular song and dance.

Sleeping Beauty boasts a top class band, swinging dancers and a barrel of laughs courtesy of script writer Bob Black, Associate Producer Elaine C Smith and Director Tony Cownie. Add to the festive mix the glittering sets and costumes for which the King’s Theatre Glasgow is famed and you have the recipe for the tastiest Christmas Show in town!
