ROSS KEMP STARS IN SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS
AT NEW WIMBLEDON THEATRE
The Home of London Pantomime
7 December 2007 to 20 January 2008
Actor Ross Kemp is to star as the villainous Henchman in New Wimbledon Theatre’s spectacular family pantomime, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS.
Hot on the heels from receiving his 2007 BAFTA Award for the Best Factual Series, “Ross Kemp on Gangs”, Ross will be making his Wimbledon debut in one of the best loved children's classics.
Starring alongside Kemp will be comedy legend, TV star and pantomime favourite Bobby Davro as Muddles the Court Jester. Prof the Chief Dwarf is played by Warwick Davis who starred as Professor Flitwick in Harry Potter and BBC Radio 2 Voice of the Year winner Aimie Atkinson is Snow White.
This dazzling show will melt your heart as the beautiful Snow White meets her Prince Charming, they fall in love and live happily ever after, but not without trials and tribulations along the way thanks to the Wicked Queen and her menacing Henchman.
With glittering costumes, fantastic sets and side-splitting comedy, the show is the perfect winter warmer for Christmas 2007.
Ross Kemp rose to fame playing one of TV's most loved characters, Grant Mitchell. He moved on to a variety of TV action roles including Staff Sergeant Henry 'Henno' Garvie on the Ultimate Force and most recently he appears in Sky One's 'Gangs'.
Ross Kemp said:
“Having spent some time dodging bullets in Afghanistan and knives in Columbia, I’m sure I can handle a few Fruit Pastilles being hurled at me in Wimbledon. I am really looking forward to playing the ultimate pantomime villain in Snow White this Christmas”.
SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS is being produced by First Family Entertainment who have produced Wimbledon’s previous three record breaking pantomimes, including last year’s pantomime “Peter Pan” starring Henry Winkler as Captain Hook, and previously “Cinderella” starring Richard Wilson, Susan Hampshire and John Barrowman.
