Position: Assistant Electrician - The Ambassadors Woking

THE AMBASSADORS WOKING - New Victoria Theatre, Rhoda McGaw Theatre, Ambassadors Six Screen Cinema.

HOURS:FULL TIME
The positions will involve regular evening and weekend work.

MAIN PURPOSE
Assisting the Chief Electrician and Deputy Chief Electrician in providing stage lighting and audio services to all stage performances, concerts and related activities within the agreed schedules and budgets for the New Victoria Theatre and Rhoda McGaw Theatre

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician, in relation to the stage lighting and audio areas, for the safe and efficient get-in, fit-up and get-out of all productions.
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in ensuring that the storage areas within the New Victoria Theatre and Rhoda McGaw Theatre are kept in good order and repair
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of maintenance of all stage lighting and audio equipment located in the New Victoria Theatre and Rhoda McGaw Theatre
• When applicable to act as Board Operator and Followspot Operator during performances
• When applicable, to assist in running performances. During certain productions and will involve undertaking the duties of Electrics Dayman.
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in the lamping and maintenance of the auditorium lighting within the NEW VICTORIA THEATRE and RHODA MCGAW THEATRE
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in ensuring all consumable stock i.e. lamps, tape, etc never runs low
• To deputise for the Deputy Chief Electrician
• To assist the Stage Crew as and when required though multi-skilling
• To attend regular crew meetings and ensure crewing arrangements and costings are clearly understood and why they are being planned/proposed. To also receive information about company news, procedures and goals
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in ensuring the PAT Testing and Risk Assessment is carried out on a regular, agreed basis.
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician in technical matters relating to the NEW VICTORIA THEATRE and RHODA MCGAW THEATRE
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician and the RHODA MCGAW THEATRE Technician in working closely with Woking Borough Council, Woking Drama Association, and all local amateur companies in ensuring the visiting technicians have the prerequisite skills to operate lighting and stage equipment within the RHODA MCGAW THEATRE
• Assisting the Chief/Deputy Chief Electrician / Maintenance Manager and respond to any maintenance call outs as and when required
