We use the senses enabling us to increase the individual’s imagination to recreate elements of the chosen book. The aim is to develop a better understanding of the story and bring it to life through dramatic play. Workshop Duration: 1 1/4 hours . Cost £90 FAIRIES AND ELVES One of our favourite workshops for very young ones. An introduction to drama and imaginative play through these age old characters. Both boys and girls will be enthralled with the face painting, drama games and fairy and elf pillows that they take home with them. Workshop Duration: 1 1/4 hours. Cost: £90 Thriller Masterclass Incorporating stage make-up, basic dance and movement this workshop will introduce you to the delights of film and theatrical special effects, fake body parts, zombies, devils, beasts and all manner of gore. You will be given a master class in zombie dance to re-create your own Thriller performance. Workshop length: 2 hours Cost: £250+vat+nominal travel if outside Glasgow area Aimed at Ages 8-15 years old Disney's High School Musical Workshop Get ready for ‘the start of something new!’ The stage production based on the hugely popular Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical is coming to Glasgow. Be a clean cut American cheerleader or basketball player! We have a fun and funky dance in-school workshop support this show. Workshop length 1½ hours Cost £150+vat+nominal travel if outside Glasgow area Suitable for Primary and Secondary schools Evita Evita Mon 1 – Sat 13 Sep This powerful and compelling production of one of the world’s greatest musicals is coming to Glasgow for just 2 weeks. Evita charts the rise of young, ambitious Eva through her marriage to former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, to a position of enormous wealth and power. Sunset Song Workshop Voted the most popular Scottish novel of all time in 2006, Sunset Song tells the story of Chris Guthrie through her country childhood and marriages before and after the Second World War. Noises Off Workshop Over a million people have wept with laughter at this glorious comic romp. Fancy yourself as a bit of a comedian? Workshop length 2 hours Cost £200+vat+nominal travel if outside Glasgow area Suitable for S1 to S6 Romeo & Juliet Interpreting Romeo and Juliet Wed 29 Oct - Pre matinee interactive session, 11.45am – 1pm Led by an RSC education practitioner and company members this one hour onstage session will explore the choices made for the production. One not to be missed! Suitable for S1 – S6, £2 per pupil Book via 0141 240 1122 Shakespeare Inset Day for Teachers Wed 22 Oct 10am – 4pm Led by an RSC practitioner, the day will explore active theatre based approaches to Shakespeare, designed to help students improve their understanding of the plays, characters language and ideas and to develop their written responses. Cost £50 per person Book via 0141 240 1122 Practical Drama Workshops These in-school sessions will investigate Romeo and Juliet from the perspective of the actor or director, offering students the opportunity to develop their understanding of language, character and themes.
