Position: Functions & Events Co-ordinator (Duty Manager) - Stoke-on-Trent

Department:Customer Services

Hours:39 (this position will involve evenings & weekends shifts)

Responsible to:Customer Services Manager

A well-organised individual is required to assist our Customer Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To act as Duty Manager, once fully trained, as required to ensure that the Customer Service operation is run smoothly and effectively.
  • To oversee the operation of the theatre and FOH areas when acting as Duty Manager ensuring that high standards are met at all times.
  • To monitor the appearance of the theatre’s, carrying out building checks and reporting any maintenance/cleaning issues to the Customer Services Manager to ensure that the theatre is maintained to the highest level.
  • To take direct responsibility for all Function & Room Hire enquiries from initial enquiry to event day and to ensure that all relevant re-charges and contras are made in compliance with company procedures
  • To assist and oversee the setting up of rooms that have been hired or requested- for meetings, events and receptions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Meet the Following Criteria:

  • Will be literate and numerate, with good communication and organisation skills.
  • Will be prepared to work efficiently for long, sometimes unsociable hours, often under pressure.
  • Will have strong leadership skills and be able to manage and motivate a varied team of staff.
  • Will be able to present a professional, confident and friendly approach to staff and customers.
  • Financial awareness and have the ability to control budgets.
  • You will ideally hold a Personal Licence and be Firs Aid trained.
