Position: Senior Sales Advisor (Full-time)

Venue: New Wimbledon Theatre

MAIN PURPOSE

We require a Senior Sales Advisor to work in our on-site Box Office, providing a high level of service to over-the-counter customers. Our Sales Advisors pro-actively sell tickets and memberships to the public, and contribute ideas and practical assistance to fulfil Marketing strategies. You would also undertake duty management tasks in the absence of the Ticketing Management team.

New Wimbledon Theatre is a beautiful Edwardian Grade II listed building, built in 1910 and approaching its centenary year. Its current capacity is approximately 1600 making it one of the largest theatres in London. The venue also houses the New Wimbledon Studio, a 50-80 seat ‘black box’ studio theatre with flexible seating.

Our Ticket Sales department prides itself on offering the highest level of service to all our customers at all times. Our staff are polite, knowledgeable and work closely as a team to achieve this.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Essential

• Previous experience in a ticket sales position, ideally with cash handling experience.
• Previous experience of working with the general public.
• A commitment to the delivery of first class customer care.
• Ability to use own initiative and have a pro-active approach to selling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills and aptitude.
• A confident disposition, calm under pressure, with a good sense of humour.
• An enthusiasm for live theatre.
• A willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable – a good time keeper.

Desirable

• Previous experience using the Box Office computer system Enta
• Previous experience working in Theatre
• Previous experience in a supervisory role
