Position: Front of House Supervisor – Part Time

Venue: Milton Keynes Theatre

Department:Front Of House

Responsible To: Theatre Manager & Front Of House Manager

Responsible For:Performance Staff

MAIN PURPOSE:
To supervise the operation of the Auditorium, Foyer and Sales to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction are achieved. Encouraging the staff to perform to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring that all staff rostered for any given shift are on duty on time, in correct (clean and tidy) uniform and briefed in order to maintain company standards.
  • Although not directly responsible for the scheduling of staff (this is the responsibility of the Front of House Manager) to provide support and advice where necessary to enable an efficient and effective scheduling procedure.
  • To encourage maximum sales by ensuring a good range of stock is on display at all times.
  • To assist in stock takes if and when required and subject to it being mutually convenient in order to maintain accurate and operational stock levels.
  • To provide support and advice to the Front of House Manager in all areas involving staff issues so that company standards are met.
  • Where applicable, to assist the Front of House Manager in training the team. To ensure business and departmental objectives are achieved through the team.
  • To assist the Front of House Manager in ensuring that all staff give the highest possible service to customers through a structured training programme.
  • To liase with the Duty Manager and other supervisors both bars and Front of House –both for good communication and to foster the overall links between Front of House and Bars.
  • Wherever possible to attend training courses in order to further self development.
  • To adhere to all Health and Safety procedures to minimise the risk of injury and accidents.
  • To ensure complete cleanliness of the venue.
  • To assist in ensuring that all staff are made aware of the emergency evacuation procedures and to participate in emergency evacuation drills in order to be converse with procedures.
  • To help initiate ideas and systems to increase sales, provide customer service and minimise costs. To do this in consultation and ideas to maintain standards and promote the business.
  • When applicable to sell from confectionery stands, merchandise stands and cloakroom.
  • To ensure the sales are maintained to the standard required by the relevant legislation. Emphasis is placed on the cleanliness of these areas.
  • To complete any other delegated task that may assist the Company in achieving its business objectives.
