Aida, the grandest of all Ellen Kent’s operas returns to Woking after its extraordinarily successful tour of the UK in Autumn 04 with a stunning, traditional production of this magnificent story of war, jealousy and revenge, at whose heart is the doomed love of the beautiful Ethiopian slave girl, Aida, and the Egyptian hero, Radames. Traditionally staged this lavish production with amazing special effects includes dancing fountains, spectacular ballet sequences, stunning sets inspired by the valley of the kings and costumes taken from designs found in tomb paintings.
