New Wimbledon Theatre

Venue Hire
New Wimbledon Theatre is a beautiful Grade II listed building, created by J B Mulholland and designed by Cecil Masey and Roy Young. The theatre opened in 1910 and will soon celebrate its centenary.

Filming
We are in easy reach of Shepperton, Pinewood and Twickenham Studios. Space is available at the dock doors for unit vehicles and a council car park adjacent to the theatre provides an ideal unit base. Technical facilities include: Main Stage approx 42'x 71', Proscenium 34' wide. Approx 1600 seats over 3 levels. Studio theatre stage area 22' x 16', 50-80 seats. Full technical specifications for both spaces available on request. We can provide technical crew for any type of shoot and can offer advice on any aspect of theatre. Our work includes:

Performance Hospitality
Over the years such legendary stars as Ivor Novello, Noel Coward, Marlene Dietrich, Laurel & Hardy, Frankie Howerd, Michael Palin, Joan Collins and Henry Winkler have all graced the New Wimbledon Theatre stage.

If you are attending a performance, we would be happy to arrange an exclusive hospitality package for you and your guests. Our newly refurbished Robert Holmes Room is a delightful private bar for more intimate functions, or you may prefer our Upper Circle Bar which accommodates up to 100 people.

Weddings and Family Events
We are licensed for civil wedding/partnership ceremonies, and offer perfect spaces for receptions, naming ceremonies, memorials and other important family events.
