Michael Frayn's classic farce

Paul Bradley (Eastenders, Roman Polanski's 'The Pianist'), Louise Gold (Topsy Turvey, Mamma Mia!), Leigh Lawson (Art, Absolutely Fabulous), Sylvester McCoy (Dr.Who ,the RSC ’s 'The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe') star in

Noises Off

NOISES OFF is a glorious comic romp ,which offers two plays for the price of one.
Whilst the traditional British farce Nothing On is being performed ,a real life farce unfolds backstage during the show ’s final rehearsal and the ensuing disastrous tour. Nothing On and NOISES OFF interlock as the actors make their exits from one play only to find themselves making entrances into the other and back again.
All the classic comedy elements are here: mistaken identity, door slamming and effortless timing.

The National Theatre production is directed with utter finesse by Jeremy Sams .Couple this with Michael Frayn ’s genius and superb, top-form wordplay and there really is no more hilarious evening at the theatre, about the theatre. (Michael ’s recent novel Headlong was short listed for the 1999 Booker prize, his newest novel Spies was nominated for the 2003 Whitbread prize and his play Copenhagen received international success garnering a clutch of New York Tony Awards and London Olivier Awards.)
