Participants will work a professional team on this project, a new direction for the Creative Learning Department. Street Child by acclaimed writer, Berlie Doherty, is a sensitive play telling the story of a street urchin whose life is changed following an unexpected encounter with the legendary Dr Barnardo. Children will create the characters who make up this authentic Victorian story, and with technical support from the venue, will perform Street Child onstage at The Victoria Hall. The project runs for just under 2 weeks and will be a wonderful experience for children who have genuine enthusiasm, commitment and either little or some previous performance experience.
