RADIO MICROPHONES

Companies using the Rhoda may wish to hire the theatre’s own system. This operates on a special frequency not usually available to touring companies using the New Victoria Theatre. The frequencies are UHF on Channel 67 and are as follows: 838.625, 839.250, 840.250, 841.000, 844.375, 845.500. Rhoda users may still wish to use their own radios, either through personal preference or to augment the house system. This may only be done with the prior permission of the Chief Electrician after checking the requirements of any companies visiting the New Victoria Theatre whose needs take absolute priority and no radio transmitting equipment may be brought into the theatre without this permission. Any interference to a sound system being used in the New Victoria Theatre caused by a user group in the Rhoda McGaw Theatre will result in the immediate termination of power to any transmitting equipment in the Rhoda McGaw Theatre.

Visiting companies will be expected to pay for any damage however caused to any equipment and for any losses. They must provide their own alkaline batteries.

There is a video SHOW RELAY/MD CAMERA system installed in the theatre.
This consists of :-

Power for the system is on a dedicated circuit controlled from DSL. No alterations are permitted to the permanent system. Additions to and/or changes to the rest of the system, such as MD Camera, extra monitors, movement of Onstage monitor are only allowed with consent of Chief Electrician. These changes can only be made in the presence of a Permanent Member of Staff.

163 amp single phase power supply. (clean) Stage Right. Lug connection (or bare ends).
Various 13A and 15A outlets around stage.

ACCOMMODATION

3 Dressing Rooms on ground level.
1 Dressing Room on first floor.
The Rhoda McGaw Theatre can only accommodate 60 performers/crew.
Numbers in excess of this only by prior arrangement. This can not be guaranteed.
