The Nutcracker
Ellen Kent presents a spectacular ballet with an impressive corps de ballet of over 50 dancers and a large live orchestra.
It stars the outstanding Kristina Terentiev*, Grand Prix winner of the International Dance Competition, Vienna 2007, who together with principal stars of international reputation,
performs with breathtaking technique and dazzling artistry.
This is a rare chance to catch the famous 1966 Moscow production of Nutcracker directed by one of Moscow’s finest, Yuri Grigorovich (Director of the world-famous Bolshoi Ballet
for 30 years).
This classic Christmas story about a girl swept away to a magical dream world is full of Tchaikovsky’s memorable music – Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz of the Flowers, Russian
Dance and Decoration of the Christmas Tree March.
This amazing production boasts stunning scenery with flying boats and magical special effects.
Nutcracker will be performed by the critically acclaimed Chisinau National Ballet and international dancers.
