Richmond Theatre is a truly beautiful theatre with a well-deserved reputation for quality and entertainment. And there are many ways to enjoy this very special and historic building, which was built in 1899 and designed by the famous theatre architect Frank Matcham.

Filming
Richmond Theatre is a Grade II listed building. It was designed by the renowned Victorian Theatre Architect Frank Matcham and opened in 1899.

The building was extensively refurbished in 1991 and provides a picturesque location inside and out. Situated on the Green at Richmond- upon -Thames we are within easy reach of Shepperton, Pinewood and Twickenham Studios. Space is available at the front and rear of the building for unit vehicles and extensive parking is available 500 metres away. Technical facilities include Main Stage 32' x 50'. Proscenium 27' wide. 840 seats. Full Technical specifications are available on request. We can provide Technical crew for any type of shoot and advice on any aspect of contemporary or Traditional Theatre. Our recent work includes: Hollywood blockbuster Finding Neverland, BBC drama Blackpool, Topsy Turvey, Wilde, Evita, The Final Curtain, Bedazzled, The Bill, Jonathan Creek and A Christmas Carol.
