Treasure Island

The new adaptation of the pirate adventure Treasure Island is set to swashbuckle its way into the Theatre Royal Haymarket this winter.

Starring Keith Allen in the lead role as Long John Silver, the show is an offering from playwright Ken Ludwig based on the famous novel by Robert Louis Stevenson.

The classic story follows a quest for treasure by a band of pirates and a group of gentlemen.

It is directed by Sean Holmes, who has recently worked on Moon and Magnolia and Twelfth Night at the Tricyle theatre.

Treasure Island will represent a West End debut for actor and musician Keith Allen, who is perhaps best known for playing the Sheriff of Nottingham in the BBC series of Robin Hood, his professional theatre roles and involvement in the 1990s band Fat Les.
