Lesley Garrett, Jeremiah James and Alexandra Silber star in

Carousel

A brand new production of the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic musical starring Lesley Garrett, directed by award-winning director Lindsay Posner and choreographed by Adam Cooper (star of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake). This major Churchill Production will transfer into London’s West End following its Bromley premiere.

Carousel is a timeless and powerful fable of love, passion and redemption. The story of two star-crossed lovers - Billy Bigelow, a smooth-talking carny man and Julie Jordan, a millworker - Carousel travels from the rocky shores of Maine to Heaven itself. Its remarkable tale is set to a ravishing score - the composer Rodgers’ personal favorite - that includes The Carousel Waltz, If I Loved You, June is Bustin’ Out All Over, and a song that has its own unique connection to the British public, You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Lesley Garrett CBE, Britain’s most popular soprano, plays the pivotal role of Nettie. She recently lifted the roof as the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. Lesley is joined by Jeremiah James, an established musical actor who is best known as a member of the internationally renowned recording group, Teatro, as Billy Bigelow and by Alexandra Silber, who was most recently at the Savoy Theatre in London in the award-winning production of Fiddler on the Roof, as Julie Jordan.
