Blackbird

Blackbird, an explosive new play by David Harrower, one of Scotland’s leading playwrights, originally premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2005 prior to seasons in both Broadway and London’s West End where it went on to win an Olivier award for best
new play in 2007. This phenomenal drama recently premiered in Sydney, directed by Cate Blanchett.Two people had an affair 15 years ago and now meet again.

Ray has made a new life for himself, with a fresh identity and didn't think he could be found. Una has thought of nothing else since, and on finding
a photo of him sets out to find Ray with shattering consequences.

Starring Robert Daws best known to audiences for his role in ITV’s popular series The Royal, and Glasgow born Dawn Steele from Monarch of the Glen, Sea of Souls and more recently the National Theatre of Scotland’s production of Tutti Frutti. Directed by David Grindley whose West End and Broadway credits include: National Anthems (with Kevin Spacey) and Some Girl(s).
