Welsh National Opera - Falstaff
Music by Verdi
This great production (Peter Stein) – which has been described as ’a great burst of laughter’, has not been performed since 1993 – so expectations are high. WNO Music Director Carlo Rizzi conducts Verdi’s brilliant score with a powerful cast.
Internationally acclaimed Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel is to give more performances of Falstaff for Welsh National Opera, following Roberto De Candia's withdrawal from the role due to illness. Roberto was scheduled to take over the role from Bryn Terfel on Thursday 27 March, following the Welsh baritone's appearances in Cardiff, Birmingham and Llandudno. Bryn Terfel will now sing the role at Milton Keynes Theatre on Thursday 3 April.
