The Marriage of Figaro - Mozart Sung in Italian with English surtitles Continuing the action from Rosinni's The Barber of Seville, Figaro has been described as one of the most perfect operas, containing some of Mozart's best-loved music. David Soar, previously a memeber of WNO's Chorus and now a WNO Associate Artist, will make his title role debut as Figaro in this new production. Rebecca Evans returns to WNO in her role debut as the Countess and Elizabeth Watts makes her WNO debut fresh from success in BBC Cardiff Singer of the World. Figaro is about to marry Susanna. Count Almaviva, his employer, also has designs on Susanna. The Countess is suspected of an affair - but is actually faithful to her husband. Figaro is also being persued by Marcellina - who with the aid of Dr Bartolo is trying to force Figaro to marry her!
