NOT TO BE MISSED FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT The Emperor's New KiltThe National Theatre of Scotland and Wee Stories present a hilarious re-imagining of the classic tale, The Emperor’s New Clothes. An opulent and colourful production, full of pomp, stupidity and superb music. Come with us to the Isle of Kiltie, an island just beyond the horizon that only clever people can see. The vain and tyrannical Laird of Kiltie owns everything in these parts, but he has only one true love, his clothes. More precisely, his kilts. In the lead up to the most important day in the Kiltie calendar, his birthday, the Laird wants for one thing, a new kilt ‘the likes of which has never been seen’. Enter Mr Harris and Mr Tweed, two dodgy weavers who give this gullible customer exactly what he asks for. Wee Stories will wrap you up in the fabric of Kiltie society; have you on the edge of your seat with excitement, falling off your seat with laughter and possibly under it with embarrassment as the Laird exposes what a true Scotsman wears beneath his kilt. Previous inventive and imaginative Wee Stories productions have included Arthur and Treasure Island.
