THE TIMELESS MUSICAL WITH A BRITISH NATIONAL TREASURE

Lesley Garrett stars in

Carousel

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel is a timeless and powerful musical fable of love, passion and redemption. The story of two star-crossed lovers - Billy Bigelow, a smooth-talking carny man and Julie Jordan, a millworker - Carousel travels from the rocky shores of Maine to Heaven itself. Its remarkable tale is set to a ravishing score - the composer Rodgers’ personal favourite - that includes The Carousel Waltz, If I Loved You, June is Bustin’ Out All Over, and a song that has its own unique connection to the British public, You’ll Never Walk Alone.

In this brand new production by award winning director, Lindsay Posner, Lesley Garrett CBE, Britain’s most popular soprano, who recently lifted the roof at the London Palladium as the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music plays the pivotal role of Nettie. Lesley is joined by Jeremiah James, an established musical actor who is best known as a member of the internationally renowned recording group, Teatro, as Billy Bigelow and by Alexandra Silber, who was most recently at the Savoy Theatre in London in the award winning production of Fiddler on the Roof, as Julie Jordan.
