Jane Eyre is poor, plain and unloved. But locked up in the attic of her imagination lives a woman so passionate and so full of longing she must be guarded night and day for fear of the havoc she would wreck.

Who is this woman who threatens to destroy Janes's orderly world? A world where Jane has, for the first time, fallen in love.

Last seen in the West End with its award winning play After Mrs Rochester, Shared Experience is one of the country's most successful and inventive theatre companies, making a long awaited return to London with its heartbreaking, utterly compelling and unique interpretation of a great novel.

YOUTH THEATRE PERFORMANCE: After Jane Eyre

Four new contemporary short plays, inspired by Jane Eyre and written by four new writers from Soho Theatre. Shared Experience Youth Theatre perform these new works on the main stage.
Running time: 1 hour.

Inside Out: Theatre Day
This is a real insight into the workings of Shared Experience. The cast and creative team will show you scenes, techniques and ideas used in rehearsals - asking for your feedback along the way. Then gain an incisive look at set, lighting and sound design with stage management. See the show from the inside out.

Schools Workshops

This two hour workshop, available in your school, will take exercises and techniques from the company's rehearsal process, combining a practical exploration of the text with Shared Experience's unique approach.
