Marti Wilde's 50th Anniversary Tour
The fifties were without doubt some of the most formative years in this islands history and certainly in a musical sense were the most exciting. With the sensational arrival of ROCK AND ROLL a whole new pop culture was born and with it a fusion of sound and rhythms that would shape the style of music that we listened to and still do even right up to this day.
Marty Wilde was one of the first original British Rock ‘Roll’ pioneers and between 1958 and 1962 he had thirteen consecutive hit records including Endless Sleep (which reached number 4 in the chart) Donna (3), Teenager In Love (2), Sea Of Love (3), Bad Boy (7), Rubber Ball (9), Little Girl (16), Jezebel (19) and Tomorrow’s Clown (33).
Marty was a regular favourite on famous TV shows such as the SIX FIVE SPECIAL and the legendary OH BOY, show with the stunning success of the latter leading Jack good the Producer of both of those shows asking Marty to host the BOY MEETS GIRL SHOW in which Marty could show his versatility by comparing the show as well as performing in it.
Still performing as many live dates as possible Marty’s show provides dynamic evidence of the man’s versatility and is true measure of how he can be judged as an artiste. With his famous band the WILDCATS. Marty Wilde intends to tour for as long as humanly possible with a show that has become very much a part of his life.
